Terms and Conditions

Reservations Reservations can be sent by an email from www.icelandphototravel.is. To ensure efficiency and good service please include detailed information for each booking, including names of passengers, tours, preferred pick-up and drop-off locations, and other service requested. All bookings are processed within 48 hours. If the tour is not available, a service representative will be in contact with you about further tour options. The customer receives an invoice with the total amount due along with the booking confirmation by e-mail. Please check all details on the booking confirmation and on the invoice as soon as you receive the information.
Cancellation Rights / Rights to a Refund The customer has 21 days to cancel a booking if force major, sudden illness or other reasons are the reason for cancellation. Within the 21-day period the customer must proof it to be a legitimate reason. Iceland Photo Travel may cancel tours due to force major or impossible weather conditions where safety of the customer cannot be guaranteed. Please contact Iceland Photo Travel for information. The payment can be made by a bank transfer, or by PayPal. In case of a delayed payment Iceland Photo Travel reserves the right to treat this as a cancellation of a booking.
Validity of Prices Iceland Photo Travel reserves the right to change prices already quoted or published on its website https://www.icelandphototravel.is without notice in the event of currency fluctuation, government taxes, or due to any other cost increase that are beyond Iceland Photo Travel’s control. After an invoice has been issued the price is guaranteed against any surcharge.
Cancellation Policy Day Tours In the event of Iceland Photo Travel cancelling the tour, the amount paid by the customer will be refunded. Actions may be taken to find a replacement tour, but this cannot be guaranteed or expected in the event of the customer cancelling the tour. The deposit will be retained if cancellation notice is received less than 8 days prior to departure.
Reasons for a Mutual Cancellation. Iceland Photo Travel may discuss a mutual cancellation with the customer regarding any of the following situations; Acts of God, flood and volcano threats, storm warnings issued by the Icelandic Met office. Tours may also be mutually cancelled if road conditions are extremely slippery. Cancellations should be sent by e-mail to info@icelandphototravel.is. In the event of the customer cancelling the tour, the cancellation fees are shown below: • More than 32 days prior to arrival 10% of the total price. • 31 – 15 days prior to arrival 25% of the total price. • 14 – 7 days prior to arrival 40% of the total price. • 6 – 3 days prior to arrival 75% of the total price. • Less than 72 hours notice or no-show 100% of the total price. Refunds will be paid in the same method that the original payment was made and will be initiated within 72 hours of the time that the request is approved.

Photo Tours The photo tours include: • A 4X4 SUV transport with a driver guide, including pick-up and drop off from a location of your preference. • Photographic assistance; tuition and advice are available, since all our guides are professional photographers/videographers. • Tripod if requested. All tour prices don’t include; food and entrance fees or costs of extra activities.
Privacy Policy We respect your privacy and do not tolerate spam. We will never sell, rent, lease or give away your information (name, address, email, etc.) to any third party.
Complaints and Compensation If the customer had experienced any problems during the tour, please inform Iceland Photo Travel and our team will make an effort to resolve the problem. It is necessary to contact us as soon as possible. Complaints should be delivered in writing via email within 11 days of the tour.
Insurance and Healthcare Please note that individual travel insurance is not included in the tour prices. It is therefore important that customers arrange for their own travel insurance before visiting. Medical assistance and healthcare is, however, readily accessible in Iceland. Residents of EEA Member Countries should not forget to bring their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
Legislation Iceland Photo Travel disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness or changes in schedules caused by weather, strikes or any other irregularity outside Iceland Photo Travel’s control. Iceland Photo Travel reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries or departure times, without prior notice, should the necessity arise. These terms and conditions shall be governed by Icelandic Law and the Courts of the Republic of Iceland shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Additional Information Iceland Photo Travel reserves the right to take photographs or videos during the operation of any expedition or part thereof and to use the resulting photography for promotional purposes. However, if the customer specifically asks not to appear on any photos or videos published by Iceland Photo Travel or any other third party, then that request will be fulfilled.
